Other Interests
Photography is one of the many hobbies vying for CPU time in my head. It just wins more often.
I had my first experience with emergency field repair to photography equipment while photographing the fireworks on New Years. Had to trek two miles to get to the beach from the lack of parking. Somewhere along the way, one of the bolts holding a tripod leg onto the frame fell out, and led to a panicked second or two while setting up. I have lost the Canon, pretty sure a co-worker stole it, but I have no proof. That was a while ago. Today, I bought a Nikon N6006 body. A 35mm introduced in 1990, it has more bells and whistles than I know what to do with. This camera is a welcome upgrade to the N4004s. Major improvements like F-stop and shutter speed display screens, remote shutter release, and continuous auto-focus are awesome. Matrix-metering sounds awesome, I can't wait to figure out how that works. This camera is so minty, it comes with th
